Esher House

Surrey

New build house completed in Esher.

The concept of this house from inception was in drawing natural light from the brighter and warmer southern front elevation through to the more shaded spaces to the rear, where the resultant has been two very different elevational design treatments. The open high vaulted front entrance hallway with its curtain wall frameless glazing by IQ Glass & sculptural high finished stairs by Cake Industries reinforces this play on light that runs throughout the spatial design.

The rear elevation with its large glass zinc clad dormers & ground floor minimal framed sliding doors set within diagonally laid Kebony wood cladding connects and grounds this this new house with its environment. Light and how this is directed throughout the house is what has driven this design both in plan and elevation.
